Zecco is a no-frills online discount stock broker. In the past it provided 10 free stock trades per month if your account net equity is over $2,500. However, beginning March 1st, 2009 Zecco increased the minimum to $25,000. Therefore, the broker is not really useful for beginner any longer. For accounts under $25,000 the commission is $4.50. Zecco also offers options trading ($4.50+ 0.50 per contract)including complex options orders. However, in this price range more sophisticated trading platforms are available from other brokers.
